The tradition of using violet leaves infused in oils holds some lovely Medicine. One of my main reasons for making it for so many years is to soften the rough 'n' tumble skin of my garden hands... not to mention the soles of my summertime bare feet!
Violet leaf oil is great on its own, yet I love it blended in my lip balms for its softening actions both prevent and treat chapped lips. I keep a version of it in a Soft Salve in the kitchen for treating my hands after dishwashing. It makes a really nice foot massage for managing callouses, and I know folks use it on rough patches that form on their elbows and knees. I sometimes use it to treat my face and neck to its skin softening energies, and even though it absorbs well for a straight oil, when used in massage its glide has a surprisingly lasting quality!
I use this oil, on its own and in balms and salves for breast massage, a practice that is honored among herbalists of the Wise Woman Tradition for use in promoting breast wellness, and loving Self Care.
You'll love my handcrafted violet leaf infused oil! It's wonderful on its own or used blended with other oils, in balms, lotions, soaps and more.
I make my infused oil of violet leaf from spring to autumn. I harvest the fresh leaves of Viola odorata from my own little organic acre, and infuse them in olive oil with gentle heat in my solar heater. Once the oil transforms into a deep green oil, it's strained and filtered, with nothing else added except LoVe. Always LoVe.
This oil is part of my NonScents line, which features unscented options that are free of any added fragrance, essential oils or otherwise. To me, this practice expresses a conscious choice and honor to the plant world, the realm of my Rooted Ancestors. If you're wondering what I mean by that, just ask.
This infused Oil of Violet Leaf come to you in a 1 ounce glass dropper bottle, and is also available here in a 2 ounce bottle. If you're interested in larger quantities, please message me for availability and cost.
